So,
I’ve reached out to SuperLite
They make superior products and are popular with Ducati and other brands. Currently they don’t offer anything for Norton’s.

They are willing to offer or look into producing a rear sprocket and Cush drive rubbers / urethane for our 961.
Only problem is, they need a rear sprocket and Cush drives to go off of. I’d like to supply them with new ones to go off of.

I’ve tried Norton but no luck. Can anyone help me here. If you can point me in the direction to quickly purchase a new rear sprocket and Cush drives or if you have some to sell I’ll gladly buy them as long as they are new and unused.

Thanks.

Talon is the original supplier of these, but currently they're out of stock. They said they'd let me know when they're back in.

Bought mine in Aus year or so back, absoloute extorsion at $18.25 AU each so Id be keen to show Talon the bird and have a sensible supplier.

There they are plastic "Gold"

To add, look at the top right cush, its got a mould pattern, the rest dont so obviously just cut from a blank and they didnt clean the face up on the end.

Is this the color they are now supplying from TALON ? Is this a new and improved material ? Sorry I don't follow the thread .

Hello Scott , I can certainly help ! But what is it you (they) need a sprocket and cush rubbers to copy ? Is urethane an improved durability material ? I have a sprocket and a set of TALON spoked hub cush drive rubbers I can send you ...
Let us not forget the front sprocket is also on the endangered list. I think Ollie Thiel has had a batch made up already.
Please correct me if wrong , but last I checked the TALON front sprocket for Norton was going to cost you 150 pounds special order only. Now that's a true stuffing ! If they can get near 20 dollars per cush rubber , then why not 150 for the front sprocket .!!

I haven't heard a peep about parts from Norton since August 17th , and it was mid July before that.

Out of Stock ? Just a short while back someone was saying they had hundreds in the bin. Must have been a run on them. This is the kind of crap that makes you think long and hard about buying another Norton. Buy another Norton ? Who am I kidding ? I can't even get parts ! By the time they figure out how much to charge for that exclusive V4$ , only the well endowed can even think about buying it.! What a mess , What a joke !

The majority of Norton 961 hubs are Taiwanese copies of a Talon hub....so we're fortunate that the Talon rubbers do still fit. Talon dont make the rubbers themselves, they're ordered in batches of a 1000...they're currently out of stock and dont have a date from their suppliers yet either.

Just like the transmission is a Taiwanese copy of a HD transmission.

Have a nosey through the pics....tell me what you recognise...
Had very little in the way of problems from these guys though... good company. But, huge company.... even if the oh so helpful custodians to the Norton name would allow anyone to buy from Honho, I dont know what MOQ we'd be talking about.

If really struggling for a sprocket there are steel blanks available. I my case a 530 blank was machined down to 525 then drilled/machined for the centre hole, mounting bolts and lightening holes. Not cheap but at the time seemed a better idea than waiting an indefinite period for the real McCoy.
