I’m almost at the part where I begin putting the wheels together. Since I never had a full bike and this is being created by one piece at a time, I have no reference of taking it apart and the order it goes back together.

I have a parts manual and a workshop manual but I get a terrible headache trying to figure out what goes where. The rear hub has the bearings and speedo drive all in place, I just need to know where all the spacers go.

Does anyone have pictures of the order of the rear axle and spacers that is easy to understand?

Much appreciated. Thanks

If you PM your email address to me I'll send the manual which explains the assembly - referring to the numbers

What’s the AN site?

https://andover-norton.co.uk/en/shop-drawings/6

Make a list of what you need then place and order direct.(Not easy doing it part by part mind you)

Any new part you buy in the US most likely came from Andover Norton and you could almost build a new bike from new parts.

Sign up for their newsletter, I think the latest said shipping will be done at check out now.
You can even phone them.

Thanks I got it.

Another question. My rear hub has the bearings and speedo drive all intact. Where do the felt washers go? Are they on the inside of the bearings or on the outside?

Outside of the bearings as shown in the parts diagram, item 33 'Felt seal washer' on left and right.

The felt and retainers are on the outer side but it is easier to go buy $10 of 2RS sealed bearings.
The stock bearings are not sealed and need grease at some point even if just checking, and if you check you might as well replace them with sealed units and forget about the felts etc.

What he said +1

I've got the right one but it's tedious to grasp if you've not been in there. I'm currently in mine for bearing packing/replacement and reusing the felts....One somewhat rough too.
