Greetings,

Can anyone describe, or better yet, provide a picture of how the brackets that hold the coils are mounted on a Ranger 750? Specifically, there is a bracket that fits between the coils that has a notch on one side and a bolt hole on the other side. Which end is up, and what fits in the notch and what fits in the bolt hole.? Finally, what are the coil rubbers (part 03100), and where do they go?

Thanks, Norm

I believe the bracket you are describing is for the Capacitor pack. Pack mounts to that bracket. Bracket mounts vertically between the coils. slot down. PITA to mount the other way.

As for those coil rubbers, not sure how much good they would do. I've run my Ranger about 7 years without them

Aha, the condenser pack. I was trying to figure out what he was describing. The early ('67) P11 used the points plate that has the condensers mounted to it. I had to go out in the storage trailer to see what was mounted between the coils of my Ranger.

I prefer the condensers mounted between the coils rather than the ignition switch as on the '67 Hi-Pipers!
