First person to give a reason for the Commando owner to own a wrench like this one wins a brand new pair of NGK BP7ES plugs.
Maybe we shd disqualify L.A.B. ? He prob has it on the top of his head!

I like Brooking 850's response.

But.

I'll hazard a guess that the tool is for carburetor sync.

Is it for getting norton commandos out of horses hooves ?

Brooking 850 has an answer, but not satisfactory, since any well-behaved Commando owner will have Whitworth wrenches to pull the valve covers off.
850 Commando wins: to adjust the points plate, no WW size or 8mm or 11/32 fits that pillar screw, ya need the 2BA.
SteveA was 11 minutes late, and hopes for too much, I'm not that well-versed.

baz also wins for most creative use, so one plug each for 850 Commando and baz. You can both send me $10 for shipping, and I'll get them right out. Sound good?

thanks, since i'm outside of the USA the shipping cost more than the plug(S). unless you are coming to the Norton Rally, then you deliver in person, as i plan to be there.

Onder your just cruel... didn't you know that since the factory closed all parts now in a sense are counterfeit.... very goood ones but...:p

Counterfeit? Heaven forfend! What kind of prize wd that be?

850: I'd love to be at the rally, but don't think it's in the cards for me. Are you gonna ride all the (beautiful) way from Saskatoon?

yes on my trusty.... wait for it ... BMW r1100s....

the Basket case has just turned 200mi since getting back on the road and i an doing two rallies in two weeks, which will total about 4500mi. i need my trusty givi topbox and some form of windscreen and the norton isn't setup for that yet.

Hey, I learned something here as I've never seen a marked 2BA wrench!
But I have modified (enlarged) an 8mm combination wrench to do the job on those points plate pillar bolts and instrument mount nuts.
