QPD Quiet Drive starter and belt drives retro fits

This has been brought up many times. But it does no good since they will not respond to emails or answer the phone.

OK I am not in market so didn't know they'd reached end of their era. Did see the final belt drive on a 750 at Empire rally. I'm not in market for that either though.

Wonder why, then, he mantains the website?

Looks pretty trick though. Surprised more folks aren't receptive to belt drive conversions. Quiet primary makes exhaust note sound even better.

It appears that the belt tension is pretty critical to this particular install. Belts need to be way too loose for drive functionality to work well with the QPD starter. It would be nice to see some feedback from any QPD starter owners. I have spoken with owner of QPD and he needs to do some machining before install. I am waiting for feedback about the Alton unit soon. My 1970 fastback is sitting in the garage due to a bad right knee.

Last I heard, Bob was taking about a year to personally do each belt conversion by hand.

He is (generally) slowing down, also. None of us are getting any younger.
