I kept seeing these and thinking about buying one and finally did. I've found it very useful with the commando, for draining the oil tank, gearbox, etc without making a mess. Also really handy for removing oil filters on cars that are in tight spots (like my miata) without puking oil all over the place.

Kewl!
Looks useful but I cannot find a price.
Guess I have to call local Napa store.

they have 4 different sizes i think. I went with the "automotive" size which is the 2nd smallest. Napa was like $20 for it! Little pricey IMO, same one is on amazon for like $10 plus $6 for shipping. For a few bucks I like driving down the street and just grabbing it rather than waiting for shipping.

A must have for the tool box. Got mine from Napa Auto for 25 bucks

Why not just make one yourself out of an old oil container that you buy the oil in?

It beats using folded cardboard like I have been doing for years...NAPA here I come!!!!

Much better than aluminum foil. Must be, cost $25.

Hmm, last time I changed the oil in my bike I just pulled the supply hose line from the junction block.

Just undo the hose clamp and slip the tubing off. A large plastic pan beneath to catch the oil.

Yeah, removing the right side cover and the oil tank drain plug will get a bit more old oil out.
If you tilt the bike to the right side.
Still quite a messy job.

What a bargain!

Never more shall I use a ladies' open-toed shoe.

You should have seen her face afterwards! Still, it went onto her foot very easily.

Tin foil has always worked fine for me. :)

You know this tool is good, because it's old school and dangerous. After carefully reading the package you'll find it's made of lead! I personally only use tools the state of California says could be harmful to me  Last year I accidentally got some carb cleaner in my eye and it hardly even burned, they're watering this stuff down!
