Ollie at Thiele Motorsports is developing some new ‘made in Germany’ pipes.
First pick shows the shorty (quite peashooter looking), a longer version, and a stock one as a comparison.
Other picks show the shorties fitted.
They look pretty good IMHO.
He’s also doing a 90mm big bore kit (approx 1005cc if my maths is correct).

Look like they might increase the cornering clearance too. Are those DB killers in the photo ? Did he say a price ?

I'm liking the shorties. Do they have an estimated time to market? Pictures suggest very nice workmanship

Even I don't mind the look of those shorties.

I wonder if Norton might have something to say about the design....

They do long ones as well, I’ll post some pics next, but I’m obviously a shortie man through and through!

Seriously though, I really liked the peashooter style of these shorties.

Yes, the pics show them with and without DB killers.

Apparently, they’re TUV approved (a tough standard), they’re being road tested currently, more info on price and timing will follow.

nice pipes !! And as far as I can see, he's running them decatted...
still loving my shorties though...For the moment I refitted the cats, not only because of the slightly less deafening sound, but I noted that with the decat, my clothes smelled much more like exhaust than with the cats. Did anyone notice that too ?

If it’s been mapped for,a cat I’d leave it in, if it’s been mapped for no cat I’d leave it out.

I’ve not noticed any particular pongs on my clothing with my de cat. Well, nothing over and above the normal oil / petrol odours anyway !

haha ! Well, that's the clue... finally, after many many months, my Belgian dealer is able to reflash the ECU. Apparently there are 3 maps (as far as what he told me is correct) for the Euro4 bikes : stock exhaust, loud pipes with decat and loud pipes without decat... So I have to choose if I'm going to refit the decat pipe or not !
As the bike runs now (OEM map, cats, Norton shorties), I don't smell of petrol fumes or exhaust !

Well, seriously, I think that's because in standard E4 set up, the poor thing is strangled nearly to death and is only sipping the merest amount of fuel, there's not even enough to smell!

I’d love to be their first customer for the shorties. Are the a Germany based operation? I googled the name and only found a company in the US.
