I didn’t get the phone mount to take calls. I got the phone mount primarily because I want to take some road trips and would like to use my phone for Google maps. The fuel tank on the roadster doesn’t have a large capacity and I don’t like being lost. Another great feature is since my Speedo drive gear has taken a shit is this speedometer app.God what's the world coming too when you have to mount a phone on the handle bars of a classic motorcycle, phones have their place but not mounted on the bike, I keep mine in the pocket when out on the bike and I also don't live by my phone, if someone calls when riding they will call back sooner than later or I phone them back when stopped, only if I know the caller, enough distraction on the roads now and having a phone on the bike is another distraction to me.
What App is that Larry?I didn’t get the phone mount to take calls. I got the phone mount primarily because I want to take some road trips and would like to use my phone for Google maps. I believe it’s DigiHUDWhat App is that Larry?
I have used Speedbox to calibrate my Smiths electric speedo.
Cheers
Yes I put a mount on my modern Bonneville and use it just for trip routing. I dont like relying on Google maps b/c it needs a data connection to fetch maps. Really like TomTom Go navigation app as it stores all country maps on the phone and also does live traffic/construction/red-light camera warnings when able to make data connections. You can get monthly or annual subscription plan for very reasonable cost (I'm at $27 USD for 12 months).I didn’t get the phone mount to take calls. I have done a few thousand miles now with my phone mounted on my bike (iPhone SE Gen 2), using Google Maps as my navigation aid. Phone has stood up well.I am curious if cell phone will hold up to the prolonged vibration attached to the handlebars on a vintage motorcycle, id your phone goes bonkers share the story.
