I found the Custom Shop Deep Purple Flake is the match.
The std size 0.15" flake is very heavy, it is easier to use the mid-size 0.08" flake

I believe the original flake was the smallest available - .004".
Visually, once applied there doesn't seem to be much difference between the .004" and .008", but it is easier to use as it gets smaller.
I've yet to find a single supplier in the UK who does the whole range of colours

Is that paint, or just the flakes? Do you mix it down or spray full strength?

You are correct... .004” flake size. This is a coupon I made with that flake size next to my original ‘69 750 S side cover. The darker rectangular part was under a dealer sticker. I tried .008” flake,but it didn’t look right.
