Outside temp today

This is from 2015 when it was -32c for a number of weeks. But it feels this cold.
Outside temp today

We made through the cold snap - -25 now and warming over the next couple of days to more normals of -15 to -25. Years ago when working on the Alaska Highway near the Alaska border, it was -50C for two weeks straight, we worked 12 hour shifts, around the clock - I was a surveyor, so outside for most of the day, and helping wherever needed so we could get done and home for Christmas. A couple days ago, the town of Watson Lake, Yukon, at mile 600 of the Alaska Highway was the coldest spot on the planet, with a temperature of -47! Here is a photo I captured on Solstice:

Bloody hell!
It's a bit too warm here in central Queensland (Oz) today, 36C and a hot northerly blowing

12F Guess I'm not quite as hardy as the Canadians, because its pretty cold out there. Could be I just need a warmer jacket.

The expected high today is going to be around 75F or 24C. I don't understand why so many in the USA are complaining about their weather. Oh wait. My wife just pointed out that the most of the citizens of the US don't live in southern Arizona. I guess that I missed that small point. I was going to do a polar bear plunge to usher in 2018 but I noticed that the sunscreen was way past it's expiration date. Don't want to take unnecessary risks. Guess that I'll take the old 73 850 out for celebratory putt.

It was -5F here last nite. Thats even cold for snowmobile weather!

It's been miserably cold here in Southern Vermont. Negative single digits to positive teens at best. I haven't been back to the shed where my 961 resides in weeks - too much snow and ice. The battery is under a solar based charge. I'm not even sure if the panels are clear or if the charging battery is not dead at this point. I just hope the mice haven't made a nest in the air filter by now!

250 mile ride today. Started out at 60F at 8am. 80F at the conclusion. Sorry about the rest of the USA.

Yep, and snow is drifting back into all my snow blown paths. So looking forward to redoing those again tomorrow. But today I'm just sitting next to the wood stove reading.

Brrrrr....most everybody sounds real cold these days. Tomorrow will be 60F and sunny and I must mix it up with a couple of Ducatis on the backroads of Sonoma & Marin counties here in N. California. Sorry guys, but somebody has to do it!

Doing a bit of a summer camping loop on the Tigga and catching up with some old buds, but it's been a tad on the warm side. Left Scone this morning before 8, reached Parkes around midday where I saw 41.5C on the dash (and the dish). Stopped at Forbes around 12:30 where I saw 45C. Way too hot to continue.
