If any are curious about the pictures on the voltage regulator topic, here is a little rundown.
I have an old Tektronix 2445 oscilloscope and I just took pictures with a Sony NEX-3 camera, I also have a Mooshimeter https://moosh.im/ which is capable of measuring and graphing out waveforms, I use it with my iPad mini and do a screen shot when I have what I'm looking for.
I'm an old school guy, and the scope still does better in some areas, for example, I wanted to show the AC surimposed on the DC from the SH775 regulator. The scope picture is:
An while the Mooshimeter's waveform is similar, it does not show the zero baseline, it graphs the AC alone without reference so it is not easy to show how little the AC is compared to the battery voltage:
The two waveshapes are the same, but the one from the Mooshimeter makes the SH775 look lame because it puts a HUGE AC screenwise on to of the DC. On either picture, the AC is about 2 volts, nothing to write home about. I'm sure the folks at Mooshim engineering will some day allow the same flexibility as the Tektronix, but for now I will have to use my old bulky scope when I need to show something special.
