Original Alloy Tank?

I wonder what they want to hide when they post fuzzy out of focus pictures :!: :!: :!:

Don't think they ever sold one with an alloy tank. I had one for a while (made by T.A. Baker), but like it, I think the alloy ones were made by aftermarket suppliers.

I'm pretty sure that's not an alloy tank, but a normal steel Interstate tank. I think the seller is just confused, or maybe he doesn't know what we usually mean by "alloy". The wrinkles in the bottom of the tank are typical of the stock steel tanks, but not aluminum ones. The photos are too fuzzy to get a good view of the weld seams, but as near as I can tell they don't look like the typical alloy tank welds either.

+1

The seam around the headstock area looks very typical of a steel tank with the seams flush together before the edge is welded - pretty thin metal, from what I can see.
Just a standard tank in primer, but actually looks pretty good from what I can tell?
Dread to think what it'll finally go for. If Joe Siefert is watching maybe it might give him an idea?
