This weekend my buddy and i purchased this British bike lot of parts and motorcycles. we are overwwhelmed with the amount of parts and spares. For now I thought i would share this picture right when the door was swung open.

One of those cool storage Finds

amung those boxes of parts was a 1968 fastback with some interesting racer parts on it. it has the updated frame ( non-widowmaker). there are also 2 complete triumph tridents included a 74 and a 73.

will update with treasures we find as we go through it all.

the seller was very emotional about parting with basically a lifetime of collecting and riding british iron...but he felt better knowing it was going to good homes and the parts will get back into circulation. we hope to have a bunch of stuff cleaned and ready to take to the clubman show in march in san jose.

Wow how cool. I found a 68 fastback looking like that at a garage sale for $75,00 once around 1983. I regret having sold it. Happy hunting in all those boxes etc. please do let us know what you find.

Awesome find . Let the seller drive the restored 68. BTW one of those boxes is empty. Geez.

Unfortunatly, the reason all this stuff is being sold is because of the two owners, one died and the other is no longer healthy enough to ride on motorcycles.

(a fate worse than death to me)

We're only caretakers of these bikes for as long as we can... Good to see that this treasure trove went to enthusiasts instead of some people trying to make a quick buck. Time to extend the garage...

Take it as a message to do something for yourself while you are still young. These days I find it difficult even loading a drum of fuel and a few tools into the car, let alone doing many laps of a race circuit. Always remember you are a long time dead.

Nice find. California black plate bike.... can't be many of those remaining anymore.

Does the plate stay with the vehicle for the life of it? Always wondered about that.

Someone recently posted here about California's plan to allow so many "circa" plates, but they needed a minimum quantity of orders to justify the paperwork. Do a quick search, as having a proper plate would be frosting! Now, if I can only come up with a "Famous Potatos" plate for mine...

In this particular case, yes! The bike was properly non-oped and has a title signed over to us,

Great high to share on a winning bet of delicious parts for the limited market desiring & barraging over them. These are priceless parts that have a cost associated just to keep safe let alone do something with and we all know how our Commando investments work out. Best bet is just bury em all again and wait till even more rare-valuable and hope there's still a market of loving capable devotee's left. I'd guess $5-6000 + most a years spare time to get the Fastback roadworthy and cleaned up to still looks long in tooth negated state only its restorer could love. My respects taking this on and hope its a good deal in the end. I'm trying to get all my stuff in working order and excesses eliminated to ease handling my end. Ya can feel the pensiveness of Trident guys with their running clean examples to rallys usually trailer-ed or face you know what actually using them routinely. Museums pretty much got their fill of em a long time ago. I quite looking when complete merely stored intact Commando got over 4000 usd. We need to promote owning Commandos some how to keep a new market for parts going or we may be it.

some insightful words and probably truer than I realized.
