Stop by if you're in the neighborhood (Boise).

Thanks, but not this time. Texas, Gulf coast and Birmingham are on the radar. Plus wherever the urge strikes in the next 2 to 3 weeks. Jim

Jim,
God Speed. Safe journey. 8) I'm working and I don’t know if I will make Barber this year due to my work load. :?
I will try.
Cheers,
Tom

Maybe I'll see you at Barber. I'll be working in the Motorcycle Classics tent on Saturday.

Well I'm jealous, enjoy the ride Jim. I'm back home now and looking for a J-O-B again, and can't even think of spending any time or money on my bike until I get some four letter word happenin' :D

Day one is down. My brother met me out in eastern Colorado. He is giving it another try on his Commando. He rode around 750 miles today and I rode about 625. Only one problem so far as he had to fix his broken Boyer wires. Jim

Hey Jim,

Have fun. I am curious what tools you carry with you?

Cheers Jerry

I carry tire irons and wrenches from an old Japanese mc kit to fit the axles

3/8 drive crows foot to fit the mainshaft and trans spocket nuts and the headbolts along with a 3/8 T handle

1/4 drive socket set with T handle and extension

double blade screwdriver

6 inch crescent

pliers -needle and regular

plug socket

3/8 angle wrench to fit throttle body nuts

allen key set

tire patches and mini air compressor

radio shack mini multimeter

tire gauge

clutch spring tool

small spanner for exhaust nuts with handle extension

I am writing this while my bro is patching his stripped exhaust threads. Jim

Jim left out his small lap top computer to diddle his mixtures in various attitudes. One of my motto's is Never Ever Trust Boyah trigger leads, EVER!
I love the thought process to pack all those tools and camp gear on light small Commando that does sound bigger than it is.

Will all his extra power Jim could pull a trailer with shop equipment and service a bunch of cycles where ever he lands. Also better to carry a spare rear tire which goes bare about 4000 miles mostly upright touring.
