I have kept my old Stag leather jacket from the first days or riding road bikes, in 1976 I bought my new 74 850 Commando (old stock) there was only 2 left in my home town of Brisbane at the age of 17 years old, I was a skinny lad at the time 9 stone nothing, a day later my local Perry's Market had new Stag leather motorcycle jackets for $75 so went bought my first leather jacket, being skinny and I knew I would grow so decided to buy one 2 sizes to big for me as I would grow into it sooner than later, well I ended up wearing that leather jacket for over 32 years its been down the road a few time in those years, the front zipper been replaced a few times in its life time and the lining has long gone, its has a lot of wear and tear from all my riding years, my Norton and jacket was a every day user and I ended up out growing it so after 32+ years was time to replace but I still have it hang in the shed rewarded for great service.
My new replacement jacket is only 14+ years old (cost just over $400) and is already showing wear and tear and it hasn't even been down the road, it was hand made by Hutchersons here in Brisbane, its still holding up but the collar is wearing and has a few slits in the collar, my Stag leather has been with me for 47 years now and even lost my virginity on that Stag, a shag on the Stag when I was 17, was a bit of a late comer lol, so lots of good memories with that old Stag leather jacket.
The last 2 pics is the Stag's replacement.

Well I gave the replacement leather jacket a good Dubins leather treatment the other day and its all nice and shiny and looking like new and one of my old mate's came up the other day and seen it hanging in the shed, asked if I got a new jacket.
It be good to hear about other riders favorites leather jackets and how long they got out of them before hanging them up for retirement.
