I have had many orders with them, always the same, above expectations. And if you ask around, that's all you will find. They have it figured out.

They really are the best at what they do, Fred re-built my 850 back in 2006 and it has been the best running, reliable bike I have owned. And most of the miles have been 2-up with the wife.

I've had nothing but great service from Ella and Fred at OldBritts.
In addition their site is a pleasure to order from and has so many great tutorials on how to keep our steeds in good running order.

I went out for a short winter ride to the bank and Starbucks and on four seperate occasions guys came over to admire and ask about my bike including one fellow who followed me into a parking lot to do it.
Great conversation starter for sure. I once even had a nice looking woman come over to ask about it.
Fun stuff.

Fred and Ella have been a great source of support and tech info. I used their site religiously in getting my Commando back on the road. I recently purchased the front brake upgrade from them which they brought in from Andover Norton, and am waiting for its arrival. Fred would not even sell it to me until he examined it and made the determination that it was a quality product and upgrade. Only after he decided it was a good system did he decide to release it.
It is nice to have someone looking out for me every once in a while!

I've never had this happen anywhere else. I placed an order online, and when they didn't get it out the door the next day as usual, they called to explain that they would send it priority so I would have it for the weekend.

I thought all online stores were run by computers and robots?

Use them for all stockish parts, cnw for custom, and rockypoint for hardware... too spoiled at home to keep ordering parts from the uk.

I use Fred and Ella as well, The first time I ordered parts from them, Ella called to thank me. It made me feel like more than just another costomer. Thank you both.

In general I'm very pleased with my orders from Old Britts. That said, I have to say I ordered some stainless washers, expecting the Norton sized ones, and I got standard SAE sized washers. That may be fine for some, but I was being anal about it. Other thing is I ordered a clutch center bearing 060750/S (the cheap one) the other day and got a 6007 2RS C3. In the workshop manual it calls for a 'one dot' or a C2 bearing, there are a couple of threads on this subject. I have not spoken with them about that yet so I can't comment any further. I'll be calling Monday.

It's not like I'm going to stop dealing with them, they're quite helpful.

They also have the best MC parts ordering website I've ever used. If there's a better one, I have yet to stumble on to it. Good folks!

Well, let's not get carried away here. That site hasn't changed since the mid-90's when it was built. The frames kill me (they were trick back in the day). But you're right, not bad for a motorcycle site.

Bonus points for anyone who can guess who cleaned up that logo for them back in the day.

I know it's not the flashiest site I've ordered something from, but I really like when they show you what they have on hand, status of it if they don't have it, and a used or different alternative. So many MC e-stores have bits and pieces of this, but for me, Old Britts puts it all together.

For some reason it's like when I get half way through an online order, things disappear. I find it lots easier just to call and order. Only thing I don't like is there's no search, that would be really helpful, sometimes things are not where you expect them to be.

" The nature of our work is sufficently secret to prevent us from knowing what we are doing " . :| :?

I've had 2 orders from them and everything was flawless. I've had several email conversations with Fred looking for hard to find parts (cases) and various technical questions. Always super helpful and responsive. The website is dated, but it's still the best for ordering stock Norton parts. Inventory is updated regularly, shipping is prompt....can't ask for much better out of a web ordering service.

Fred called me this evening about the 060750/S bearing. He said he uses the sealed C3 in his belt drives. Suggests the C2 (said Andover uses that one) unsealed one for the chain drive. How many people call back on something like that?
