Oil tank thread

I have looked and looked and can't find a thread on modification of the bottom mount for an oil tank. I have a MK III and suspect I might be getting an oil leak from the mount point at the bottom of the tank. Anyone know where the thread on that subject is?

Basically take it out clean its bottom and epoxy or weld if needed then create a fairly tough rubber cushion to carry most the mass on the bat. tray and diddle the upper tangs to accept good Lord's rubber wart isolators. I cut a hole in my cushion to avoid wt. bearing on the bottom fixing bolt to fracture again. I could not get the rear isolator in between the tang and gusset on one Combat so just spaced it with washers = so far has worked a stable dampened lasting DIY treat.
