Is it possible to run the feed and return oil lines under the gearbox on a Mk2a ?
Any have Pictures of this setup ?

I thought about this with mine, I can't see a reason why it couldn't work and it would make things a lot 'cleaner' around the engine / trans.

What stopped me was that you'd need to do something about the oil manifold on th engine... ie make a new one designed for the oil pipes to exit down instead of up.

Fr the right person with the right equipment, this would be quite straightforward, but it was enough to stop me!

The N15 has the manifold pointing down and the hoses run under the gearbox. The manifold part is symetrical and fits perfectly either up or down, although the pipes have a different bend. You just have to double check whether the inner or outer are feed or scavenge. You could either locate a G15/N15 manifold or use a Commando one and bend the pipes yourself.

Hey you
I've also thought about it getting a cleaner look at oil hoses that go over
gearbox.
I decided to change this.
I removed the old steel pipes and drilled out the remnants of these with a 10mm drill.
When matched standard 10mm copper.
So I bent tubes they saw they went closer center of the engine, not the outer cover.
When the pipes were finished custom, silver soldered I them to the old Junkbox

Already got one of these fitted (I'm cautious of soldered up tubular ones breaking as I have suffered on other bikes before).

Had a quick look last night and it really does look as easy as turning it upside down... :D
