I had a bad leak from the rocker lines on both sides. I bought a replacement plastic/nylon set. It was worse. I just got a steel braided line from Old Britts. Not even a little leak from any of the unions.

I do still have a small leak that is on the 6th fin on both sides at its highest point. Any clues as to where that is coming from? The head was off for a valve job. The most the bike has done is sit and idle in the driveway so there is not wind blow-by involved. Possibly the front head bolts?

Weepage from the rocker covers or their bolts, spindle rocker covers or ugh even new re-torqued head gasket. Some time fork oil can blow there and fool ya. Best wishes on oil dry flying.

When I recently put the cylinder head back on after rebuild it leaked like crazy - like a waterfall down the front about 3 fins up from the mating surface of the head. I thought maybe it was coming up from the 5/16" bolts. Anyway it turned out to be no big deal. A paper washer had been left out on the right rear rocker spindle cover. The leak was under high pressure and it went down into the cavity in the center of the head and poured out forward.

Just shows that cylinder head leaks can appear in funny places far removed from the source. I found mine by cleaning everything off then looking at the head closely while the engine was running.
