Both my bikes are now out of action, due to lack of a couple cheap a$ springs.

Both the springs on my Brooking exhaust popped and that size seems unobtanium in NZ. Waiting for some from inner Mongolia.

And today the $5.50 fork selector spring popped on my Ducati. Now I am stuck in town waiting for the wife to bring in the trailer to fetch me in rush hour traffic. She is so pleased.

And of course, as I wait, that spring has to be shipped ex-Italy in 6-8 weeks. Though I did find one in the Netherlands for a few quid. And like 25 to ship!! And pulling the fiberglass, draining the coolant, and oil (which I just changed), and pulling the clutch slave and L side cover and two special tools to install said $5.50 spring.

As the wife says, NOT HAPPY!!

Lots of bikes have similar exhaust retaining springs, if you scour eBay you should be able to find something that’ll at least keep you going temporarily.

Yes, that is what I did.

And in my exuberance I misspoke, by inner Mongolia I actually meant Australia.
