If possible, I will park at uphill end of the big parking lot, and I will wear my AccessNorton tee shirt

Saw your bike, missed seeing you; your bike is just beautiful. Love that color.

Big turnout despite the light rain of night before. Clean roads. No gravel or sand anywhere along route although there were wet patches.

Nice meeting Jerry Doe at Hansen Dam on Sunday! I rode that rally from the begining until moving to N. Carolina in 2006. First time in 11 years. I've been meaning to VIP and just never got off my ass, so joined first thing this am. Thanks jerry fo keeping the wheels on this forum.

Hi All,

The 2017 Hansen Dam ride was a blast. Thanks SCNOC for putting it on.

It rained on the way there. There were quite a few of us rode up from Orange County. My MK3 is running really well! The weather cleared up after we got there. Lots of bikes showed up and saw some old friends as well as met some new friends and Access Norton Members.

Glenn Suneson, Mike Bean, Mark Dambrosio and I decided not to go on the ride. We ran into Jay Leno who said he was going to take his crazy Fiat car over to the classic Italian, French car show, so we went over to check that out. That was fun, except Mark got bit by a sausage dog!!

I took a few photos. I added them to an album here under my profile and will put them on the Access Norton Facebook page as well. Click here to see my photos:

Thanks for posting the pictures, Jerry. I wasn't able to make it, but Norton seemed to be well represented. Nice turnout, considering the weather. I recognize a few of the bikes, Chris' (elefantrider) S model, my friend Scott Fabro's Rickman Commando, [HASHTAG]#381[/HASHTAG], that he took to the IOM a couple of years ago, and, of course, your gorgeous bike. I'm guessing one of the black bikes was John Laing's (xbackslider), but I only saw it once, and don't remember the details well enough to recognize it. Maybe I can make it next year.

Ken

Thanks Ken for the good words about my bike. It was a good turn out. It was good to see Chris, but somehow I missed a lot of others to say Hello to.

I enjoyed the Italian classic car show as well!!

I would post up the pics I took but a few months ago I got frustrated trying to pay for VIP so, that morning I had cash ready for Jerry but somehow we never crossed paths.

Leno is a great man. He operates a museum; he preserves the knowledge and technology of the past, not just in the machines but in their associated documents; he also employs craftsmen and records their methods and know how. Then, he works hard at keeping a calendar of, and attending, almost every car or bike event in So Cal. While at these events, he is always gracious and respectful toward the public. Not only does he allow a pic with anyone anytime, he answers really dumb questions with a smile.

Just spotted the thread and had to say it was a good turnout considering the coolness, something that maybe not expected in SoCal. I would have liked to have seen more Norton's, but there was a really good selection of bikes. The double engined triumph was really a nice piece of work. I would of liked to have been on one of my Nortons, but the 1500 mile ride home to BC needed another more suitable bike, my trusty ST1100.

Great little video. My how that event has grown. I actually made a couple of those rides, hauling ass through the night to get there in time after doing the annual All-British Ride in Novato. Couldn't make this years, we went to Mexico instead, but I'll be back. I spotted some very familiar bikes in the video including what looks like elefant riders great P11A with an IL license plate.
