Hello Everyone
I've stumbled on an old watch that has a Norton logo on it. It appears it is from the 70's. It is a Tissot brand. Does anyone remember seeing on of these from that era?
Thanks!

It seems to be popular to put modern logos on older watches, so beware !
Its quite likely that many such watches were not born like that.

Its amazing the variety of stuff this is happening to, must be whole industries out there.
Or Mr Garner has been very busy...
(No offence intended).

It looks like a 1970s, manual wind Tissot seastar. Unfortunately, I cant post photos.

Got a photo? I's love to see it
Yes show us a picture. Tissot are still around and going strong. Bremont made the last Norton batch and they were pretty nice. http://www.bremont.com/collection//norton

Have you seen the price of Bremont watches? The Norton one was a special edition and sold for around £4300 ($6600 US). You could buy a decent bike for that!

I've found a shot of a vintage Tissot Norton watch. I kinda like it but this one's for sale asking 250 Euros. That seems a bit steep to me. Vintage Tissots without the Norton logo seem to go for around $100 on ebay.

Well!! By George!!! Thats the watch that I've purchased!!! I did look at the Bremonts but too much $$. Has anyone seen the Tissot version or anything similar?
Thanks
ps. which ad site did you grap that photo from? I found it on an old ad . Lucky it was still for sale

This is my Norton Commando watch. My wife bought it me many years ago. There is no make or anything to identify it.

Didn't Smiths take legal action to stop those being sold ?!
Enjoy !

The time is - 130 mph.
Hmmm !

Ok. Thats the same ad that I saw it on.

The watch works quite well so far. I'm looking into getting it cleaned and serviced locally. Maybe getting the crystal off and cleaning up the dial a bit. But I am no hurry.

The Smiths type watch is great!!!! I could see how a manufacture might get upset with the look though!

Maybe its a Smiths watch. They still make watches

Found this old post & as I'm looking for one of the Tissot "Norton" watches I thought I'd mention it here in case someone has one but doesn't think to looke through the "wanted" adds. I did post it in "Wanted" too. Thanks.
