hello members , i have just bought a NEW right hand footrest bracket part # 06-3117 , when i lay it on bench , (flat face 3 mounting holes) and look at the foot peg it doesnt go at right angle to the bench, (eg if mounted on bike it will bend upward slightly), i would think it should be at right angle so when on bike it is level with ground,
can some one tell me if this is a faulty bracket or not, thanks

I have a Mark III and both foot pegs angle a few degrees upward. I was concerned it had been dropped in the past. I unscrewed both foot pegs and they rolled true on granite figuring they would bend before the cast mount would. I asked a few other owners and they said "yeah mine point up a little bit but almost all of these 40 year old bikes have been down at one time or another" Curious to see other comments on this but I think you would get more response if you posted in the Norton Cammando classic section. Is your left peg a perfect right angle?

Thread has been moved to the Classic Commando section.

If you footpegs are perfectly horizontal then it will feel like your feet are slowly falling off, a 1 or 2 degree uplift so they point slightly upwards will restore that feet not moving feeling.
