Great minds think alike Al... I’m also in the process of having my clip ons changed to Sport bars!

Nice ‘70s style fly stopper on the back door by the way... I didn’t know you could still buy them!

Wow those parts are expnsive for these newer Nortons. Nice bike

Yes Jerry....expensive stuff... There are pics of new Nortons for sale with loadsa accessories fitted, but the price quoted for the bike is for a 'standard' bike...folk don't realise the extra's cost thousands more !

Yes Eddie...much more comfortable... i found it wasn't the low clip ons that bothered me, it was that the footrests were too far forward when used with clip ons... much better with the higher bars..

Well my biggest issue with the CR riding position is my wrists. I sat on a Sport at the show to remind myself I’m doing the right thing and just thought YES!

I also agree the footrests are too far forward to be ideal, but that was more a minor irritation to me than a real reason to do something.

Let’s keep each other posted ref the SL progress...

Great looking machine 961al , you have taken good care of it . White lettering on black is unique and the black parts look good too.

Spring is (almost) here.... any genuine offers on this glorious bike...? :)
