I sent a disc to True Disc and he recommends non-sintered pads because the sintered variety will tear up a cast iron disc. So...who makes the best NON-SINTERED pads.
seatle,
If you are using OEM Caliper and disk, then I would use the Ferodo Platinum 06-6005/c made in Italy.
or EBC FA27 06-1894 Organic. (made in GB? I think).
Using a M/C bore of 13mm helps greatly.
Cheers,
Tom
squeal usually comes from the back of the pad contacting the piston in my experience. Sometimes a light coating of disc brake grease on the back of the pad helps.
Hi to all, reviving this post just to confirm the opinions. I have a 13mm MC and nice braided line with a fresh drilled disc. Do we still agree on the following as the best brake pads for the OEM caliper? Thanks for your opinions!

I just switched to the Ferodo Platinum. I didn't think there would be much of a difference but there is. I'm using a 13mm master cylinder with Girling drilled discs and the combination feels noticeably better than stock.
