Nice gift from a departed friend

This is a Norton that my best friend who passed from cancer a couple of weeks ago wanted me to have. I have my 75' Commando also still but have not put it back together.

Just a very nice gesture .... you two were very good friends indeed ....

Very nice indeed I have so many riding friends that I have known all my life but they proberly be gone before I go to leave my bikes to, but not sure if any would leave me theirs, at lease he be with you everytime you ride it, forever in your mind.

Very nice friend indeed. Looking closely to the photo, is it a PR or replica ?
How is the PR master cylinder hooked up to give you a brake light as it has only one output for the hose. I have one, so I am curious what is needed to assemble.
Cheers,
Thomas

I would bet that you would rather have your friend alive and enjoying life.
That said, you two must have been very close. Ride it often and think of the good times you two had.

Lovely bike, great friend to have had. Memories on every ride.

You have a challenge I don't envy; to find as good a home when time comes for you to pass it on.

Enjoy it.

That's a true friend you have lost, enjoy the bike mate condolences to his family

I got it running but my left leg is full of cuts and bruises from hitting the shift lever! I'll fix that! I called Matt at CNW's and he is sending out a electric start kit (as soon as they are ready). It ran good except for the idling so its probably got a blocked pilot jet, and it's very tall geared so when I install the starter kit I will change the C/S to a 20 or 21.

I'm sure you'll enjoy some great rides in your best friend's memory.
It's good to see what certainly looks like a genuine early 'yellow peril' in such good nick.
It brings back happy memories of watching these bikes perform so well at club and national level at Brit circuits in the early 1970s.
Thank you, Andy
