As for the rest of the bike, I'm not so sure I like all the combinations.

It does look Guzzi-ish, doesn't it. I'm not sure when they ended, but the little Guzzi cartridge dampers weren't their best feature.
Unless those are Ceriani replacement forks ?
You are right, the combination of styles doesn't sit well - it needs to be cafe alloy, or blue and chequers, both together doesn't work.
What caught my eye was the 1960 ES2 on the same site - bidding at $13k and still going....

Agreed, It almost works, ditch the chequer though and more blue up front to balance it.Rohan said:You are right, the combination of styles doesn't sit well - it needs to be cafe alloy, or blue and chequers, both together doesn't work.

From an aesthetic stand point the bike looks like a Fastback rear-ended a cafe bike. The point is that if you're going to customize a bike, stick with one theme and go with it.

I think it works, the checkers arent quite my thing but they do a good job of breaking up the straight line along the bottom of the tail piece. Whats wrong with a fastback cafe? In my opinion the only better looking back end is the Dreer one on a Commando... unless you hack off the back frame loop and do something completely different

No, I think the whole bike is ugly.
