Hi All

New guy here saying hello..

Always love the Norton Marque but have always been more into my 80's Jap bikes.. Please excuse me..

Currently building a RD350lc hybrid and have decided to finally dip my toe into the UK bike scene. As I love my hybrids it's only natural to be drawn to the Triton's..

Looking around for a nice project there seems to be a huge Range in prices on bikes..
I know it's a crazy question and depends on the Spec but what would is a sensible price for a Tatty wideline pre engine project.

suggest getting a ride on a vertical twin to assess vibration levels.....!

You could bild a L C Nor . [ Elsinor ? )

Er , TATTY .

Bent frame forks & swing arm , bent rings , bearings loose in hubs , lucky to get 20 Quid at the scrap metal .

a very carefull check over neccesarry . If a inebrite, a crate of ale or two .

Can do a ' build from new ' components , if youre loaded .

That’s actually a good idea...

... IF the plan is to take a perfectly good Elsie... and then spoil the handling and add some extra weight

A "slightly tatty" running WL/Pre-Unit Triton (with title, sometimes difficult to obtain) MIGHT start in the $5K range.

...but then again, how long is a piece of string?

Holy Crap Grandpaul.......I can remember my late Pops saying that very line, takes me back. Anyhow, Morgy, there is a featherbed project bike on ebay right now for 5k-ish, unless the bidding has taken it higher. saw it yesterday. edit: Oops, since I brought it up I checked and it's gone sorry Morgy I didn't put a watch on it so I can't say what it sold for
