I had the garage door open and I was in the process of refitting, and refilling the primary. I noticed my neighbors grand son or rather he noticed me. He is probably 6 years old and was sitting astride a tiny electric motorcycle. He was quick to point out that it was a real motorcycle (no training wheels.) He launched into a quick run down of the bike's virtues. I missed most of it since I was sans hearing aids. He sat astride his tiny mount, elbows on the handlebars, like a real biker and talked about his bike. He saw my Norton and with shining eyes he said "You like motorcycles too? "Oh yes" I assured him, I like them very much. Then I was entertained as he swooped, circled and dived around my cul-de-sac. I was transported back to my first bike. It was pure freedom, speed and adventure. It's nice to see it fresh through new eyes.

I'll have to keep an eye out for this one, traffic wise. His enthusiasm over drives common sense or knowledge concerning the rules of the road.

An opportunity.

To begin higher level training.

Early.

Begin talking about watching for other motorists.
And then in depth.
It's amazing what they can understand & retain.

Funny, I caught myself doing just that not in a commanding way but as one rider to another.
