Ok, so it's about friggin time. I have changed my bars from the "Clown bars" to a more "Euro" look. I was going to get the USA bars but even those appeared to high. It's the first thing I have done after having my bike for a week. I posted a thread about taking delivery and a mountain of congrats followed by "Uh, say, you gunna change them thare bars or what" kinda replies.

The clutch cable is too long and I have the correct Venhill on hand, (install tomorrow) and I will keep the long one in the side case so when the other one goes "Blamo," I should not be stranded. The brake disc brake line needs to be shortened, (any ideas???) as well as the single Mikuni throttle cable, (More opinions please.)

I love the new bars and "Nell" just feels right.

PS: New grips from Ol Britt are just right also.

Looks good, I got my stainless line from old Britts when I bought lower bars. Got the 23" for around $70, measure from your MC to the caliper hard line to get a good measurement. They have 23" and 25" if I remember correctly. Be sure to look close at your line coming out of the caliper, I moved mine out of the way and it broke. Went to the auto parts store and got a new steel line, then bought a line bender and a flare tool/cutter kit from harbor freight and made a new one cheaper than you can buy a new line.

Nice. Those bars look great & Im sure they give a much better feeling of being in control too. If you do a search ( try Clutch cable) you will find good info on how to make your own and from that you will learn how to shorten yours to any desired length. I assume it would work for the throttle cable as well. Now for the brake line, same thing but you can call that fabulouse pair of human beings at Old Britts & they will make you a custom brake line or sell you the parts to make your own. Simple, happiness is a phone call away. Again, nice bike dude. Glenn.

You'll find these very comfortable if doing loads of miles. The look the same as mine 4'' rise as compared to the even flatter, lower european bars. Being short, I find them very easy to get on with and many others I meet here in the UK like them, especially those who us tank bags.
