Does anyone have a photo that I can see how they fit properly on the Z plates the plates mount on early Fastback mufflers?.
The mufflers are cigarette type, early model (not peshooter) but mounted, with original plates, upwards (like PR) not horizontal to the ground, with the exausts of the 1971.
Thanks a lot.

As far as I know there are no standard plates available to mount the early Fastback silencers/mufflers at an upswept angle?

The Fastback Mk.II (from Sept. '70), Mk.III and Mk.IV models had Peashooters, and the PR model did not have the standard Z plates so the PR exhaust mountings would not fit.

The P.R. pipes for the Domi - ish mufflers tuck well in , plus at the head fitting theyre the earlyer kink inward set up .
The upswept Domi type may be unique to the P.R. , & anything else they were fitted to . :?

Trying to fit the early P.R. pipes the Alloy Footrest Plates got in the way of the mufflers , as theyre ' tucked in ' . So required P.R. type footrest mounts .

Might not be so tight with Std. roadser headers .

maybe some use , shows differant std P R headers , amongst other things . :)

Some of the Domi's have kinked muffler Mt brackets , or ' Z ' ed may need to . Then theres the rear axle removel trip . clearance there .

OK (please disregard what I said previously, as I thought you were asking how to mount them at an angle).

The two plates are correctly assembled, but, according to my Haynes manual, the long plate should mount to the inside face of the Z plate and not outside of it, as it is shown in your third photo?
