I dont want to crash anyone elses thread, Playing with the above using the Lucas switch
blocks rewired. All seems to be getting sorted, have one issue which is probably in my setting the menu's. When I flick the turn signal switch right or left , blinks fine but when
I flick back to the middle (off) position the turn signals keep flashing, if I quickly flick it back on and off again they stop blinking. ????
I thought there might be a Motogadget forum but couldnt find one.

i would think that the vendor your purchased the box from should be willing to give you a hand. I did a quick search and found a place called https://revivalcycles.com/ who had a video of the unit an indicated for any questions to give them a call. its an intriguing product but over priced otherwise i would get serious about one.. after off course i buy the brake disk parts we've discussed.:D

HI Don, which setting are you using for the handelbar controls? I am guessing Config C should be the one for the Lucas gear? I have CNW (Honda?) switchgear which is right for C and i guess zeroing the Lucas switch should be the same as push for off on the Honda gear.
The quick flick you describe sounds like it is expecting a momentary button for control.
I haven't spent any time in the shed for a week or two, and with some distractions here won't be back to it straight away. I am having some fun with the hazard function but have found one error in my wiring so far - RGM Battery monitor stays red positive black negative whether + or - earth. I had swapped it over.

this is high end stuff, i spent 2 hours this morning looking at other motogadget stuff, so for a pre mk3, 2 questions, 1, how does it deal with the headlight switch ? and 2, how does it deal with the lack of a starter motor?

Iain, yes I'm using Menu C and following the instructions. the issue maybe with my setting, I'm not sure yet. but your point about using a momentary button could have some value.

I have removed the toggle switch on the headlamp shell, i don't think it can deal with that. Could perhaps make it an interrupter in the power circuit but the M.Unit would presumably read that as a fault.
Starter motor - shouldn't be a problem not having one, ignition is on its own M.Unit supply and will liven with key on so kick staring shouldn't be an issue. There are some functions which a tap or two on the starter button activate, but that is on the signal side of the unit so perhaps still usable. Push and hold the starter button for starter use will presumably also read as a fault.

no toggle switch, the only wires coming from the M unit is L+R turn signals and starter.
