Morgan 3 wheeler with "harley" engine

Well that first one looks like a special of some kind (I didn't read the details due to lack of interest) but some of the other images look like the standard new genuine Morgan.

The new 3 Morgan wheelers use the S&S x wedge motor and are supposedly a hoot to drive.

There was quite a lengthy article and road test of the new Morgan a couple of months back in Road & Track or Car & Driver. I get both those magazines and pass them on when I've read them, so I can't go digging in the closet to find it!

Triking sports cars have been about for some decades now.
mit Guzzi engines mostly.
Quite a lively performance apparently.
Started by an ex-Lotus employee who couldn't find a Moggie ?

Surprising that Morgan didn't jump on the bandwagon earlier ?

Perhaps because Liberty - who designed the new Mogan - did the work to get it road legal? Having a "local" engine may help US sales too.

The Triking is pretty much the same size as an original Moggy, the new one is American sized.

only 2 litres :!:

Yup, more than double the engine size of most guzzis, but I was actually meaning the cockpit size.
Two normal Eurosized people normally sit with arms outside in a trad Mog/Triking. Two well nourished Americans can sit with all apendages inside the Morgan2.

I have sometimes thought it might be good to build a front wheel drive Morgan using a Harley engine with a Subaru transaxle and gearbox.
Back in their day Morgans used to compete successfully with motorcycle road race sidecars.

The trouble with modern motorsport is that there are very few development classes. We have too many rules and the mindset that we don't MAKE anything.

And, to be kind, there are plenty of "well-nourished" Americans. (where's the fat, dumb and happy smiley when you need it?)
