I'm replacing the isolastcs on my Mk3 this year and going with front stock, new rubber parts and ptfe washers.

Stock, new head steady spring and new rubber.

Was going to go with stock parts for the rear but I've heard there is or might be a two part adjustable system from Mick Hemings or Norvil?

Anyone heard of such a thing?

Cheers Lads.

The Mk3 rear Isolastic is already vernier adjustable so I'm not following the logic of what you are suggesting.

Hello L.A.B,

I heard there was a two piece system with an adjuster on both sides for the rear instead of the one piece stock system for my Mk3 but have never been able to track it down.
Just wondering if anyone has ever head of such a thing.

Cheers.

The Hemmings adjuster goes on one side (front and rear).
I don't think I've heard of a double-sided adjuster, Hemmings or otherwise? Perhaps somebody else has heard of one? Due to the small amount of clearance concerned I can't see there would be much to be gained having two adjusters.

This is the 'Hemmings' kit (intended for converting pre-Mk3 Isos.).
Front adjuster (assembled, on right), and rear.

I seem to remember someone saying Mick Hemmings has just about sold out of these now.

Thanks L.A.B

when i check in january, Angela had 2 complete sets of their adjusters left, and a number of the rears only available, but could not confirm future availability due to the retirement of they guy that did the machining.

the only advantage of the hemmings system over the vernier system installed over the mk3's is that the end caps can be removed as the tube on which the rubbers mount is not one piece.

it is a bit of a pain to clear the rear iso tube, but it's the right way to go...

Thanks 850 Commando.

Would you happen to have a contact number or email address for the parts?

Cheers.

The purpose of the spring clip over the adjuster holes is to simply keep debris out of the adjuster holes?

And the torque on (30) the main 1/2" bolt 06-0423 thru the ISO is 30 ftlbs?

Yes, as there seems no other reason for it being there.
