Mikuni slide sticking

Just a quick note to mikuni user’s, my 2 yr old vm34 started sticking and slow to return to idle. Turns out the spring was to weak. A quick fix was to stretch out the spring while I waited on a new one. Going to try the new one with the old one when it arrives.

Standard fix was to use one of the old Amal springs inside the Mikuni spring. Some complain this is too much but I never noticed. I don't much like it when I shut the throttle off and the bike keeps going!
