Mikuni single manifold inner bolts

Hi all,

I am preparing to reattach my Mikuni single manifold to my 850 head. I typically use blue locktite on things so I can get them off without too much trouble, but is this a red locktite scenario? I don't plan to run the Mikuni forever so I do want some reversibility to my strategy, but I also sure don't want those screws to work themselves out and into the intakes. Is there any consensus on how people have attached these? And standard torque spec I would assume? I feel like I've seen people discuss this situation previously on the forum but I can't find it in the search.

Thanks for your help,
Anthony

I hate anything that can come loose and go thru engine. I eliminated the inner bolts filled the holes with epoxy. Smoothed the ports and used Permatex gasket maker to glue it fast. Never gave me a problem!

Use the blue. Check out my thread “Heartbreaking Pictures.“ Believe me you don’t want to go through what I did.
