I ordered some parts from Mick today.....Angie, I think it was, pleasantly worked the phone, I could hear Mick in the background answering questions that I asked Angie. When something wasn't clear, Mick picked up the phone sorted out what needed to be sorted out and went back to what he was doing....it was a pleasure....

just wanted to share...

I seem to like the guy too, Sometimes when the family's over for dinner I always ask if they would like to watch the gearbox rebuild video. The kids love it and the adults think I'm nuts, But I really like to watch them once in awhile. Would love to meet them.

Just the gearbox video!!!

Surely the family would want to watch the engine rebuild video as well??

No wonder they think you're nuts!

Another vote for Mick and Angie from me too!

I can definitely agree with that, I always make a point of dropping in whenever I can....extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly......just the way it should be!!

I have to agree.
I called in two years ago and was given an impromptu tour of the shop upstairs, with a cup of tea in hand. :D
Also always get very prompt postage.

Kids usually like comedies, so you ought to get the original gearbox video with John Hudson. Now the guy obviously had a lot of knowledge, but it was like a Keystone Kops comedy watching him chase the gearbox around the table with a wooden hammer. I guess a bench vice was too extravagant! And when he brought out the white gas powered blowtorch! I hadn't seen one of those for forty years!

Where can I get one? I think the little ones like it because they think (I) am funny for wanting to watch it and they also remember what the parts are called and really like to make me happy by telling me how it's done. It is great how they can remember about these things so well. Oh and I do have the other DVD but they really like the gearbox one for now. I wonder if my brother in law won't want to come over in the future. Someday I would love to make it over to England and see his shop and have a few pints at the Ace cafe. The wife says lets go we just have to take the time. Have a great day guys, Chuck.

LOL, I'd only have to offer them a choice between that or one of my slide shows.

Ahh, pyrotechnics is almost mandatory for the enjoyment of today's audiences.

:D I was at the shop yesterday, I just went in as I was in the area and they had everything I needed for my Commando in stock, plus some items I have found hard to get hold of. They were both very helpful a gave me some useful advice. I would recommend then, they ship worldwide I will definitely be using them in future for all my parts as I am only 20 miles from the shop.

What time zone is the shop in

Hey Foxy,... Any foxes on the farm ? Thanks for the time zone thing, got an order going into England soon. Mick or RGM.

Are you'all able to understand Mick's accent? I had much trouble a decade ago.

I met Mick a couple of years ago at Barber's Motorsports Park. I found him to be a perfect gentleman and very knowledgeable. Wouldn't hesitate to consult him for Norton info or to buy parts from him. Come to think about it, many of the parts in my Manx gearbox came from Mick. Hmmm...!

Which person had the trouble with which accent?

Now now Dave!!! LOL

Mick is a top bloke, he rebuilt my engine and gearbox in my Commando a few years back and it has been superb and reliable. I don't have a problem understanding him but I only live a few miles from his shop so we probably have the same accent!
