I have a new harness. 4 wires to the switch (brown/blue) (brown/green) (blue/yellow) and (white)

And a 3 pole switch #39565. Switch doesn't have a 4rth pole. Switch and key work fine, iI was hoping not to replace them. I have a wiring diagram but I am not great electrically. I know it worked before but iI didn't take a picture.

Could someone post a workable solution. Thanks Brian
Master Switch wiring.

Did the previous harness have 3 (no blue/yellow) or the same 4 ignition switch wires?

Also, have you replaced the headlamp harness section or are you connecting the new main harness to the old headlamp harness?

Didnt have the blue/yellow wire. I have the new headlight harness.

OK.
Connect the ignition switch as previously, so brown/blue = T1, white = T2, brown/green = T3, but leave blue/yellow disconnected both at the ignition switch and at the under tank connection to the headlamp harness.

The new headlamp harness should also have a blue/yellow? This is used for the headlamp switch connection on the 4 terminal harness instead of brown/green (3 terminal switch harness) so connect the headlamp harness blue/yellow to main harness brown/green.

Thank you! Was this an early harness with this 3 pole type of switch?

Was this an early harness with this 3 pole type of switch?

The 4 terminal switch and harness sections with the separate blue/yellow headlamp feed was introduced on the early '72 models (supposedly from 202116) to prevent the headlamp from being switched on at the 'Parking Lights' position.
