This article is a great compilation of the various auctions from the last week or so.

The J.Wood auction of Dude Wheeler's stuff, including several PERFECT Triumphs from the former Bobby Sullivan collection was a shocker - bikes that should have fetched near $20K fetched HALF that much.

Who's buying? Boomers, who are themselves unloading? Gen X, who've been priced out for decades and have since moved on to BMW, Honda, Yamaha? Millennials, who never stepped foot in a shop class from school budget deficits? Gen Z, who've never heard of a carburetor?

Do you have a link GP to that auction? I see a lot of stuff on Mecum with "high bid" as opposed to the "big goes on" they used in the past

J.Wood auctions, there were at least 10 Sullivan Triumphs with NO RESERVE, so they DEFINITELY sold.

I think in this Covid time, people are doing more "no reserve" auctions, so they can divest.

Question about American auctions, can the auctioneer keep taking bids off the wall to under the reserve price, without anyone yes, anyone making a bid?

Must be an American thing, clutches still common in UK.
My daughter, now 28, learned to drive a stick at 16. She won't drive anything. After completing her Pharmacy doctorate, she bought a new GTI. She told me that she knew the auto shift was quicker, but the six speed is more engaging.
