I'm making my own braided brake lines from some Russelll fittings & hoses I have.
I've made them before, a long time ago, & it went real easy. But this time I'm struggling.
I've cut the hose to length, slipped the overall clamping nut on the hode & splayed the braided protection a litle.
Pushed the brass ferrule on the inner plastc tube & then slid it all over the inner banjo fitting.
Because of all the splayed braided line, I can't get the out nut back onto the inner fitting to clamp it all together.
What am I doing wrong?
Do you have to trim some of the braid off to make it all fit?
Any suggestions please.
