Does anyone know where on the fork crown the "Made in England" decal goes? the bike I am restoring did not have one to use for reference.

Thanks

I don't believe a '68 Fastback had a "made in England" decal.

I din't think so either, but the parts book lists one. It says that it went on the fork crown.

Since it is federal law that all manufactured items in the US must have the country of manufacture posted on them, I would think that the fastback would have one. I believe it must be visible, so not under the seat or tank.

Maxi,
I wonder if the decal is on the lower "fork crown". At least the transfer is listed right after the 'fork crown' (G25) in the parts book. May not mean anything, but where else could it go, certainly not on the tubes? Someone must have seen it at sometime. Maybe Frank Damp, might be worth a PM. He seems to check in occasionally.

Dave - I think it does go on the lower "crown". I will PM Frank and see if he can help. Thanks
