Hi All. I have noticed that the pickup coil is loose around it's mounting(slides up & down) can that cause misfire problems?

Yes and can also cause a collision with the rotor...not good.

Thanks for that. Yes I did notice that it had rubbed lightly on the rotor, no damage tho'.
Any suggestions on how to fix? The P O had siliconed it.

A good epoxy should be fine. And what the PO should have tried. Silicone?
