Lucas headlamp emblem 06 8805/6

Does anyone know how the Lucas (lion) emblem is attached to the headlamp and the difference between 068805 and 068806. I know the 068806 emblem has the rim and
is a lot more expensive, thanks David
 
On my ES2 there is a light alloy ring around the emblem, all is pushed down through a hole in the headlight shell and the ring lip folded back up against the shell from the inside.

Same as the original medallion on my Atlas. A newly made replacement is different, but I do not remember the details. IIRC, the newly made simply push in without the rolled lip, and are secured with adhesive. Go with the more expensive if you are concerned with originality.

My phone has had a fit with all the reflections.
I think ex factorey the Lion was fitted 180 degrees rotated from mine, but i like it the way it is.
No photo of the inside, it was a loose fit and i struggled to improve that without destroying the alloy ring so in the end smeared the inside with silicone to hold all in place.

Yes, factory fitment was rotated 180 degrees as shown in ntst8’s photo.
