Loose chain



Distributor chain is loose and rubbing on my case. Just replace the chain and good to go??
 
I believe that the distributor sprocket is adjustable to increase/decrease chain tension. Your manual
would describe how much tension the chain should have.

So take the set screw out and rotate? Wouldn't that still make slack on it though? I would think the distributor would have to move or something....
 
Just looked at it again. There's a thru pin that holds the gear to the shaft. No adjustment there that I can see
 
Just loosened the 3 bolts for the distributor and it'll move up to take the slack out. Thanks
