Guys, anyone in California that might help out here?
The photo below is of a recent re-build here in Melbourne, Australia of a Commando that came in a bunch of boxes. It wasn't even worthy of "basket case". Mostly '71 750 by frame and engine nos, but some 850 Mk3 and a lot of junk. It all came of a container headed at a bike importer who goes over to the States and buys up ex-dealer stock and private sales.
Amongst the stuff was a reference to someone who possibly owned the original '750.
His name is - Martyn Crisp and his address is North Ashe Avenue, Ventura California.
I'd like to contact him and find out if the bike was his, what he had done to it and how it came to be a scrapper?
I could not get his phone number off the interweb, so if one of you guys could may be call and speak with him and verify if he was the PO, and maybe get his email that would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mick
