Looking for some help to locate a set of 850 pistons standard size , with valve cut outs..... I'm moving up from a stock cam to a 2s cam ... It appeard that the valve's will hit the stock pistons... maybe someone out there could forward me a dealer that would carry these... Thanks

You can take your present standard pistons into a machine shop with the diagrams for locating the cuts ,depths etc. This is very doable as opposed to new pistons . Not all pistons measure up the same in the bore and then where would you be ?

Fitting stock pistons (especially with cut outs) with a 2S cam would surely kill performance?!

Are you sure you need pockets as they will drop compresson ratio. I just left my std piston with pockets at Mick Hemmings so he could pocket new set of +20 pistons for my PW3 cam which I think has more lift than an s2 he said pockets would normaly be needed but my head has been skimmed at some time in the past. it may be worth a trail build an measure before cutting pockets or check with cam supplier or someone like Mick.

I can put valve reliefs in pistons for you. You can supply the pistons or I can. PM me for details. Jim

So there ya go. I mention sticking with the pistons you have already because say you order in new ones ,they wound't match the bores the way the originals do. And a rebore up t0 ten over needs corresponding sized pistons. A good machinist matches the supplied new pistons to the bore. If you're not burning oil and the originals and bore walls look good then just spend the money on notch cutouts only, then refit.
