My RGM kick start has a lot of slack, watch video. Only three years old. Has anyone solved this problem and how?
The T160 that it’s derived from had a kind of leaf spring that pushed against the flat on the base of the lick start lever which worked quite well.
A thin shim and a bit more tightening.
Like I said earlier, a tad crude...
Saw a Honda classic bike the other day parked up. It had what appeared to be this exact fold out KS setup. I wonder if it is the same thing RGM sells you guys?
The Honda and similar Japanese kickstart levers use a spring loaded ball bearing to prevent the kickstart arm flopping out. The Trident type spring clip works, but on my Trident the spring steel clip broke fairly regularly.
