Does the long RGM kick lever supposed to have a detent to keep it from rotating? Mine rotates outward as I ride.

Mine doesn’t, not ideal but tightening the pivot bolt can give enough friction to help it stay put.

OK, thanks. Got e-start, so the lever isn't getting much use now...

The T160 that it’s derived from had a kind of leaf spring that pushed against the flat on the base of the lick start lever which worked quite well.

The RGM one seems to rely on nipping it up just enough to provide friction. A tad crude, but it does the job, just about.

My RGM kick start has a lot of slack, watch video. Only three years old. Has anyone solved this problem and how?

Saw a Honda classic bike the other day parked up. It had what appeared to be this exact fold out KS setup. I wonder if it is the same thing RGM sells you guys?

I think in just over 7 years with my folding kicker I have only had to nip up the bolt twice in all that time.

No its a Triumph T160 kicker with the Norton spline, but the early Honda's had very similar kickers but of course different size kick shafts.

The Honda and similar Japanese kickstart levers use a spring loaded ball bearing to prevent the kickstart arm flopping out. The Trident type spring clip works, but on my Trident the spring steel clip broke fairly regularly.

And then the MK III kicker Had the ball detent as well.
