Keihin carb and magneto video

Here's a short vid a customer just sent me. Keihin CR smoothbore carbs with Joe Hunt magneto. This is my favorite setup. I used to sell these and I wish I had the time to keep offering them but my workload is heavy right now and they require a lot of modifications and fabricated parts to fit a Norton.

The CR carbs have a choke and are very precise. The only modification the Magneto needs is to replace the soft hex shaft with a piece of grade 8 hard Allen wrench hex shaft. This setup provides the easiest starting - the magneto spark is the hottest.

I don't have the CR carbies but have the PWK carbie set up and the Joe Hunt works so well, the first thing I did was to replace that soft hex shaft with a allen key hex and you get 2 spare hex shafts out of one allen key, the supplied hex shaft that came with the JH was showing sign of wear within a very short time of running, no problems with the allen key hex.
My JH has never let me down when there is a crowd watching for the kick to start my Norton always a one kick every time, but of course will always get that same thing from most experts who have no idea about JH maggies "its got no auto advance set up" I just laugh every time I hear that.

There is a retard starting lever and cover available now from Morris - you have to tell em its for a Joe Hunt because if they send you the Morris cover it won't work.

I am very glad I purchased a set of the CRs when you first offered them Fabulous set up.
