Is it old news ? I just saw on FB that the new 951 just passed the US EPA/CARB compliance??
Does that mean the new Norton will be for sale here??

If you pay the full price and wait 3 years. With no communication from them. I think that's their standard practice.

That's interesting. I wish them well. Hopefully they'll be able to start ramping up production and bringing bikes in for sale. :)

I had to sell my GT1000 a few months ago when I lost my job. IF I can pick a winning lottery ticket and IF they can get bikes onto a dealer floor for purchase I'd be inclined to buy one!

I think the chances of either of those events actually occurring are roughly the same however...

I am ready and waiting to buy a new Norton as soon as I can get one here in the US.

Doesn't matter when, next week or two years from now, I just want one before I die.

Yeah, I know the joke, probably have to wait until I die to get one........

I hope we all get the chance to at least go to a dealer that has a new Norton for sale on the showroom floor. I have some serious doubts about Stuart Garner & Co. to accomplish this. Does anyone have Richard Branson's number?

Not true and not fair. Norton affiliate dealers have know all along that they were facing an uphill battle with EPA. Now that EPA is passed, the factory's first priority is to clear the UK backlog and then start orders for export. If you are told upfront how long the wait will be and you still chose to purchase, you need to honor the commitment you make and not complain about it. Buying is ALWAYS a choice. No one makes you.

I'll make you a deal, put me in your will and I'll buy the Norton for you if you die. In the end you still get your Norton.

Now filling backorders is a priority? Now that all those American deposits are just around the corner? Deja vu anyone?

Are you saying a buyer should honor his/her commitment, but if the seller does not honor theirs' you should not complain? If so, there is no other way to say it; that's f'ed up.

Bill, the NEW 961 'Commando' has passed E.P.A. emissions, so, quick - rush in your deposit , before they are all gone...
