And just straight up tell the world.
I pondered for many hours, weeks, months.
I would like to tell you all something very personal, that not many people are privaliged to.
Meet Ed.

Ive decided to come out.

I had to name my bike.
Not just any old name, but a name that brought me pleasure every time I think of it.
Those old enough will remember Ed Norton, best friend of Ralfe Crambdon.
The "Honey Mooners" was on the box here during the early sixties and I have used...
"One of these days Norton, pow right in the kisser" many times, when I've been frustrated and
still, jokingly say it, when Ed gives me trouble.
A fierce brute of a man, was Ed Norton, and fitting for a 750cc Combat engined Norton Commando.
There I've said it.
What a wait off my mind.
Thank you all for being so understanding and caring, and thank you in advance for your kind words
and thoughts re Ed and myself.
Yours sincerely,
AC. hehe.

Hey AC

Good name for your bike, how many beers did it take to think of it HeHe

Oh yeah I grew up watching Honey Mooners in full black/white TV with rabbit ears on top. Ed was a skilled under ground aquatics engineer.
Ive decided to come out.

I've got my Trixie Norton so half the cast lives on...
Ive decided to come out.

Imagine if they got together again.
Ive decided to come out.

It sounds like a very appropriate name!

I remember the show, but I'd forgotten his last name was Norton! Too funny.

Watch out, that car in the background is driving on the wrong side of the road... just kidding... that's a fabulous shot.

Thats cool Aussie... I'm not the bigoted type, live and let live, y'know.
(mine is named Rex, after the king of mardi gras)
cheers,
Don

Back to the sea side view point, what a great place to practice braking. The view does lift the top of ones head off, I like that when it don't hurt.

Yes quite a load off.
Mat, Ed does talk back sometimes, As a matter of fact he chose to be a bit smart yesturday.....
The weather is warming up nicely here at the moment, so off we go for a ride around the peninsular,
well there was a bit of a traffic biuld up in one of the towns, I'm idleing along in first gear minding my own business
when I spot a couple lovely young girls walking my way. The intention was to give them a toot and a wave, however,
72 Commando, horn on right and kill button on left. Yep, hit the stop button, ooooh, balls up on tank, pain. Imbarrasment.
Not to worry, I don't show any pain at all, kept a cool head, found neutral, kick starter out, flew up into the air, and Ed decides
to have a big compression, lock up situation. Ahhhhh, bastido, nearly fell off...............Some people never learn.
The photo is next suburb south from us, 2 klm, pretty spot. Fish off the jetty (pier), good safe swimming as there is a Reef that
runs at 90 deg, to the end of the jetty. At low tide you can get straight on to the reef and walk along if you'r so inclined.
Good diving and snorkelling.
To the moon Alice to the moon.
